A Vote of Confidence by Robin Lee Hatcher

The ballots have been cast, the votes have been tallied, and according to my calculations A Vote of Confidence wins by a landslide!

Robin Lee Hatcher has provided the reading world with yet another winner. She introduces us to Gwen Arlington and Morgan McKinley, two citizens of Bethlehem Springs who find themselves opposing each other in the mayoral race; one is looking out for the citizens of this serene Idaho town, the other for his own business interests. At first it seems there's no love lost between Gwen and Morgan, but when it comes to light that one of Gwen's supporters has plans to use Gwen to further his own behind-the-scenes machinations, the candidates must team up in an effort to find a way to thwart those plans. And will their close collaboration bring about more than just the knowledge of those nefarious intentions...love, perhaps?

Robin combines personable characters, a hint of mystery, a dash of romance, all amidst the beauty of the American West in a down-to-earth story that will suit anyone with a penchant for historical romances, especially those with a political twist.

And coming in November 2009 - Cleo's Story
Fit to Be Tied

It’s 1916, and Idaho rancher Cleo Arlington knows everything about horses but nothing about men. So when charged with transforming English aristocrat Sherwood Statham from playboy into cowboy, she’s totally disconcerted. So is Statham, who’s never encountered a woman succeeding in a “man’s world.” Their bumpy trot into romance is frustrating, exhilarating, and ultimately heartwarming.

Great review! I can't wait to finish this one. I'm hooked already because the author gets to the conflict early in the book.
