My thoughts:

It's the beginning of a new year and I need to get back on the wagon. After I had my second daughter in July of 2006, instead of keeping off the baby weight I lost when I had her, I let my weight creep back up to my 9 month pregnancy weight. I know many of you have been there. Last summer I half-heartedly decided that I was going to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight (or lower). I started watching my calories and such, and have thankfully lost 16 of those 23 pounds and have successfully kept them off for almost 6 months. But as this new year starts, I need a jump start - and after having read Chantel's book, I realize I need to change the way I think. I can't be satisfied with "almost" making it back to my pre-pregnancy weight. This is the year I get it done - and keep it off for good.

What I really like about Chantel's book is that from the very beginning it's not about what you shouldn't do, it's more about what you should do. It starts out with "move your body", then gradually leads you through to the realization that you should eat to fuel your body, and you don't want your body running on junk. One other thing that I think is a big plus - the personal trainer log. So many times I'd read a health/diet/fitness book and it 'tells' you what do - this fitness log (which is handy by being small enough to stick in a gym bag or purse) guides you step by step along the way.

So are you ready to make a change?

One individual (US residents only please) will win a set of these books - to be in the running, all you have to do is leave a comment with your contact info (you at yoohoo dot com) by Sunday, January 18th, at midnight central time. I'll contact the winner on Monday.
