I've always loved a good mystery, and although I had hit somewhat of a dry spell in my reading at the end of my high school/college years and early married life, I eventually came back to my favorite pastime. I remember scouring the library in town for good clean fiction only to discover this wonderful thing called "Christian Fiction". This was back in the mid-1990s, and I think I checked out almost every book they had after a while. Fortunately, CF has really taken off and I have become woefully behind in my reading.
I remember the very first Christian suspense novel I ever read was Presumption of Guilt by Terri Blackstock. I can remember to this day how the opening scene made me feel...it scared me to pieces...and got me hooked on Terri Blackstock!How about you - if you're a lover of Christian Suspense - what was the book that got you hooked?

How fun! I think I started reading CF again with Michele Andrea Bowen's Church Folk.
Ooops, I misread your question. You wrote "suspense". I don't remember what suspense book hooked me....hmm. Well, it was fun going down memory lane anyway!

Frank Peretti's Prophet was probably my first as for suspense. For romance, It was Janette Oke, Love Comes Softly.
